Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Center (RAK AWC) is a non-profit animal welfare organization that rehomes socialized, trained and healthy cats and dogs. RAK AWC also offers a one-stop shop for all your pet needs including veterinary clinic, boarding, pet shop and grooming.

RAK AWC are the pioneers of a Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) program in the UAE - a humane way of stray animal population management and control.

Since 2011 the centre has also developed a successful educational program that suits students of all ages and backgrounds and aims to promote compassion and fair treatment of animals in our community.

Charity events

TERRY FOX RUN

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah yesterday attended the Ras Al Khaimah Terry Fox Run, a charity race to support research on cancer disease, for the 6th year in a row at Al Qawasim Corniche Ras al Khaimah. 

 

RAK Ruler affirmed that the race would contribute to enhancing solidarity values among various institutions and individuals, as well as encouraging them to raise the necessary funds for cancer research. He said that the objective of the event has been achieved thanks to the collaborative efforts of all members of the organising committee, and all the participating departments which have played a major role to make the event successful. 

 

A number of department have donated for this charitable event across the nation, especially in the framework of the big support and interaction from the patronising entities. A number of officials attended the event.
